New Year’s Day Worship

Friday January 1st is the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus and the beginning of a New Year 2021.
I am deeply aware that many people are hoping that this will be a better year on many different levels, not least with regard to the Pandemic. The hopes of a fruitful vaccine are very high, yet we are also acutely aware that our amazing NHS is struggling to keep up with demand. The staff in our hospitals and medical centres are doing a stellar job, but many fear a tough winter from now until Spring.
I invite you to join me in a safe and socially distanced special Mass on New Year’s Day at Noon to celebrate the Holy Name of Jesus our Saviour, but to commend the coming year to God in a very special way.
There will be a simple spoken Mass offered at Noon with a Candle lighting ceremony to commend ourselves, our nation and our NHS and pray for God’s grace in 2021
Please not that our Church will be open again for Sunday Mass on Sunday January 3rd The Feast of the Epiphany. All are welcome.
