The Lent Course: God at the Movies
We meet every Thursday evening in Lent at St Andrew’s in Deal from March 10th until April 7th at 6:30PM to watch and explore how film presents us with powerful images of God.
Stations of the Cross
We walk the Way of the Cross at St Andrew’s, Deal each Friday in Lent at Noon and at Holy Trinity, Ramsgate each Friday at 5pm.
April 10th PALM SUNDAY: Liturgy of the Palms, Procession and Solemn Mass with the Reading of the Passion. Holy Trinity, Ramsgate at 9:00AM and St Andrew’s, Deal 11:00AM beginning in the Union Road Car Park at 10:50AM.
April 11th – 13th Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Holy Week Mass and Homily at St Andrew’s, Deal 9:30AM and Holy Trinity, Ramsgate at 6:00PM
Tuesday April 12th. The Chrism Mass (Blessing of the Oils) at Canterbury Cathedral with Bishop Norman. 12 Noon. All are welcome.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday (when Jesus made his final entrance into Jerusalem) and culminates with Easter Sunday. As Holy Week progresses to its final days the solemnity heightens.
Sundown on Holy Thursday to sundown on Easter Sunday is considered the most solemn part of the liturgical year. This three-day period is referred to as the Easter Triduum, also known as the Sacred Triduum, or Paschal Triduum. The word “triduum” comes from the Latin word triduum, which comes from tris (“three”) + dies (“day”).
April 14th MAUNDY THURSDAY: Mass of the Last Supper with Footwashing and Stripping of the Altars followed by the Watch at the Altar of Repose.

April 15th GOOD FRIDAY:
Children’s Way of the Cross at 10:00AM in Holy Trinity, Ramsgate.
The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion at Noon in Holy Trinity, Ramsgate.
The Way of the Cross at St Andrew’s Deal 2:00PM
The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion at 3:00PM at St Andrew’s, Deal.
April 16th HOLY SATURDAY. EASTER EVE
The Great Easter Vigil at 8:00PM for both parishes. The Blessing of the New Fire, Reading of the Prophecies, Renewal of Baptismal Vows and First Mass of Easter.
April 17th EASTER DAY
The Parish Mass of Easter Day at Holy Trinity, Ramsgate at 9:00AM
The Parish Mass of Easter Day at St Andrew’s Deal 11:00AM
